This page is the archive for discontinued Spiderchain Jewelry items. I'm no longer doing much work in
stainless steel, most of my new work can be seen at my Silverweaver
site. But I'm leaving this image archive for all the people who like to browse fun designs, and as a reminder
to me of all the pieces that I want to try in precious metals.
Nothing on this page is for sale in stainless steel, but contact me if you see something here that you'd like me to try in silver or gold. And if you do want it in stainless, try one of the folks listed here - they've all agreed to help out with the stainless steel items that I'm not making any more. I make no guarantees about price, quality, speediness or anything else at all. Do let me know if you have a particularly good/bad experience with any of them.

| The following is what used to be the Chokers page of Spiderchain. |

ARROW This necklace was inspired by the arrow-shaped beads. Currently only available in cobalt blue, but let me know if you're interested in a different color. |
![]() |
RUFFLE This simple choker sets off a wide neck T-shirt ... or a beaded evening gown. |
![]() |
DOUBLE SCALLOP This necklace draws comments and compliments whenever I wear it. |
![]() |
FRINGE Great for dancing; the fringe shimmers with every move. Standard fringe length is 1 ¼ inches. (custom lengths available) |
![]() |
EVENING A most striking choker, perfect for a poised and elegant evening out. Think velvet dresses, fine dining, and starry skies. |
![]() ![]() |
POINTS I'm now offering this popular necklace in different sized rings. On the left are size "tiny" (the original) and size "medium." Sizes "small" and "large" coming soon! |
![]() |
JAPANESE POINTS This looks similar to the original Points necklace, but the weave is completely different. This necklace is made with a base-6 japanese weave. |
![]() |
NATASHAA versatile and lovely necklace, made with 2 ½ inches of clasp adjustment to work as both a choker and a collar necklace. Shown in stainless steel with clear teardrop beads. |
![]() |
DEVIA Devia asked if I could make a combination of the Natasha and Double Scallop necklaces. A fine idea! Named in Devia's honor. |
![]() ![]() ![]() |
TRIO I needed something to wear to a friend's wedding and this design just fell out of the pliers. I don't know where it came from, but I like it! Top: The clear beads may be hard to see on your monitor, take a look at the closeup. Middle: Hematite and matte red beads. Blood music. Bottom: Cobalt blue with more, smaller beads. I consider this to be the dressiest Trio necklace. |
![]() ![]() |
LACE CHOKER This necklace looks good worn high or low and comes with an extra-long adjustment chain to allow for that. |
![]() |
CLASPSThe choker on the left is 1 ¼ inches tighter than the one on the right. This adjustment-span can be changed upon request and makes every necklace more flattering and versatile. |
There are some times when a full choker is a little too fancy or maybe just not your mood. These simple necklaces are a
perfect alternative. They're flattering, simple, and can be made with any color beads.

CLUSTER These are the most configurable of my earrings. Shown here is a "moss" pattern, but there are plenty of other options. Many more patterns are shown on the cluster patterns page. With so many images, it loads slowly. These colorful rings are anodized niobium. |
LOOP The top loop can be stainless steel or bronze and the rings at the bottom can be any pattern. |
|
| BOX CHAIN Shown in sterling silver. The earring post is also sterling silver. |

PERSIAN The Persian weave makes a dense chain with a fascinating ring pattern.. |

| The following is what used to be the Pouches page of Spiderchain. |

![]() |
My mother makes these. You may have seen her at the California Rennaisance Faire walking with her pole of velvet pouches? This is her internet debut. *smile* Velvet pouches come in rich colors: burgundy, green, purple, black, and blue. They are lined in matching or black satin. Hand-twisted drawstrings either match pouch color or contrast in black. |
![]() Wee pouch with niobium cluster earrings. ![]() Small pouch with a gold-plated natasha choker. |
![]() | The small bag holds 15 dice, the large bag holds 50. The double drawstring is corded black suede that won't slip loose. One single knot holds well enough for backpack travel. Want a different size? I can do that. |

Exactly the right size to fit a Palm Pilot V with hard case. |

And for those evenings when you don't have pockets and don't want to carry a purse there's this tiny chainmail purse. It's just big enough for an ID and a credit card. Can be worn as a necklace or as a belt. |
![]() |
| The following is what used to be the Belts page of Spiderchain. |
|---|
![]() |
This belt is for dancers who want substantial weight; it's nearly two pounds (depending on the coins used). It's my most musical belt. The small coins on the swoops of chain chime with the slightest movement. This style is shown with copper coins (left) and silver coins (right: worn by Rain). You can also see the headpiece that I made for Rain in my custom work area. |

![]() |
This belt flatters the waist and hips, and makes almost as much sound as the heavy belt (above). |
|
![]() |
All of my belts are adjustable, but this one is particularly graceful about it. To the right you can see part of the possible range. 30 inches (bottom) to 34½ inches (top). It can be worn high or low, before and after holiday weight gains, even loaned to a smaller or larger friend; it's always flattering. This was my first belt design and I am pretty fond of it. (*smile*)
Metal tassles on the hips (yes, I make the tassles) swing freely and like to move when you do.
This belt adjusts up to 8 inches and will be made to cover the range of measurements that you want! |

This isn't necessarily a dancing belt. Named after my ruffle choker, it will set off a flowing summer dress or a leather miniskirt. Size adjustment is part of the design; I usually add 10 inches to allow a swooping overlap in front. Belts can also be made to meet precisely without overlap. Lovely gold plated brass is available for this belt design, and will work well for daily wear. For the motion and stress of dancing, the strength of stainless is better. |
|
![]() |
Sweet and simple, this belt will add just a little bit of coin sound to your dancing. I think the large copper and brass coins sound the best with this design. (I must get sound samples posted.) |

| The following is what used to be the Miscellaneous page of Spiderchain. |

In response to requests to create a line of headdresses, here is my first design! It's available in stainless steel, gold plated steel, or gold plated brass. The plated brass is lovely, but weaker than the others. Only you know how prone you will be to catching your headdress on clothes and costumes, throwing it around, etc. |

![]() |
These rings conform to finger shape and are amazingly comfortable. The size is determined by the interlock of the rings and how many rows are added. I can make them to approximate any ring size. |
![]() |
![]() |
Designing this was interesting. I built a small cube of double rings, then a bigger cube around that, linked together, but loose and floppy. The end result is a metal hackeysack that will stop clean on your shoe (bare feet? Only for the hardcore.) and sounds really cool. In stainless and bronze (as pictured) or all stainless. |

He guards against all foes! He inspires the strong and protects the weak! He makes fair bear maids everywhere swoon with his dark good looks and his courtly manners! He's also one-of-a-kind -- but bring me a bear (or a bunny, or a giraffe, or a penguin, or a ...) and I'll clothe it in the latest in stuffed animal armor. |

I've finally finished them! It took me five years and almost twenty thousand rings, but they're done. They now have their own page if you want to see more pictures. |
|
These are by far the smallest rings I've worked with. Ring size is shown, right. This sterling silver earring was a wedding present for a dear friend, made to replace one she'd lost years ago. I have nothing but respect for the person who made the original! |

| The following is what used to be the Bracelets page of Spiderchain. |
|---|
The round bracelets can all be rolled on; they don't need clasps. For a claspless bracelet, measure around the
widest part of your folded hand. The rolling bracelet goes on easily, so pull the tape measure pretty tight.
Flat bracelets don't roll as well and should have clasps. Any bracelet or anklet can be permanently
attached -- just bring me the limb in question.
All the samples shown are to the same scale:
