This collection includes:
size 9:20 – 0.26 ozt
size 12:20 – 0.13 ozt
size 14:20 – 0.27 ozt
These rings are made from wire with a 12K layer of gold over a brass core. My usual goldfill rings are 14K instead.
When I first started making goldfill rings, I opted for 12/20 goldfill (12K over brass, with the gold being 1/20th of the total thickness). At the time, I thought it was a clever choice because 12/20 goldfill is slightly cheaper than 14/20 goldfill. But it’s also not quite as “gold” in color and after working with them for a little while I decided to switch to the more richly colored 14K version.
Here you see the last echoes of my 12/20 goldfill experiment. These rings have been languishing in dusty boxes for over a decade, waiting for me to find them a home. Adopt them!
ps: If you don’t know what my ring names mean, there’s an explanation on the FAQ page that should help. Please let me know if you have any questions!
