Description
Many, many, many rings. This is an ambitious project, but well worth the effort.
Definitely an intermediate/advanced project. Tackle this one after you’re familiar with Japanese weave and you know that you work well with small rings. If you don’t yet know Japanese weave, but you really want to make this project, then I recommend that you purchase a copy of my first DVD (Japanese plus six other weaves) and get comfortable with the weave. Then come back for this ambitious project.
The skeleton kits contain only the 19ga “flat” rings and the clasps. Want to make a niobium version of the necklace? A gold/silver contrast version? Patterns? Go crazy with it, and send me pictures of what you make! Please note that the rose goldfill and white goldfill kits contain yellow goldfill clasps.
If you’re getting the skeleton kit, you’ll need to supplement with two ounces total of small rings. The fit of these rings is very fussy – here are the sizes to get:
silver | size 6:20ss |
niobium | size 6:20nb |
goldfill yellow | size 2.5M20gf |
goldfill rose | size 2.5M20gfr |
goldfill white | size 2.5M20gfw |
brass | size 6:20jb |
copper | size 2.5M20cu (Proceed with caution. I haven’t tested this one yet.) |
Instructions are sold separately – these kits contain only the jump rings and clasp.
