Description
The rings in this sampler are all AR = 3.4 (plus or minus a smidge). They’re the sizes that I reach for when I make:
- Birdcage (AKA Byzantine)
- European 4-in-1
- Turkish Round
In the inch sampler, the sizes are 2.25M22, 6:21, 7:20, 8:19, 9:18, 10:17, 11:16, 13:15, 14:14, 16:13, 18:12, 20:11, and 22:10.
In the millimeter sampler, the sizes are 2.25M22, 2.5M21, 2.75M20, 3.25M19, 3.5M18, 3.75M17, 4.25M16, 5M15, 5.5M14, 6.25M13, 7M12, 8M11, and 9M10.
- sterling silver and goldfill – ¼ ozt per size
- jewelry brass and copper – ½ ozt per size
For the example chain, I used 12 of each ring size plus one enormous 10ga ring which is not included in the sampler kit.
Note: That isn’t a typo – the inch sampler does contain a millimeter size for 22ga. Size 5:22 is too tight, and size 6:22 is too loose. Size 2.25M22 is just right!
