Box chain (AKA Queen’s Link) is a close relative of Birdcage (AKA Byzantine). Have I mentioned that chain maille weaves have an absurd number of names? *chuckle*
In the charts below, please note that the weave diameters listed are measured on the flat of the chain, not across the diagonal.

If you’d like to explore this weave, I recommend that you purchase one of these aspect ratio samplers. All the rings in this sampler work well for Box, and they range from 22ga through 10ga. Try out a wide range, and decide for yourself which size(s) you like the best.
